This is the harshest part of the metro for paint, and it is not close. Salt air off the bay accelerates corrosion, and heat multiplies it: corrosion rates roughly double for every 10 degrees Celsius, so a Houston summer does to a car what several cooler years would. Protection is not cosmetic down here, it is the reason a finish survives.
Baytown and the industrial corridor add fallout on top of that. Airborne particles settle on horizontal panels, bond in the humidity, and show up as rust-colored specks in the clear coat that a wash will not touch. It needs decontamination, not more soap.
Toward League City and Clear Lake there are a lot of boats and trailers alongside the cars in the driveway. Those are handled as a conversation rather than a standard booking, so call and tell us what you have.
One of our technicians is based in South Houston, so bookings on this side of the metro are usually straightforward to schedule.
Contamination that has bonded into the clear coat needs decontamination rather than another wash. Paint correction removes it, and a ceramic coating is what stops it bonding again.
