Questions
Mobile detailing questions, answered
What it costs, how long it takes, and what actually happens on the day. If your question is not here, call and ask.
Booking
How does mobile detailing work?
We come to wherever your car is parked. You book a time, we arrive with our own equipment, and we detail the vehicle at your home or your office. There is no drop-off and no waiting room. Most jobs take about two hours from start to finish.
Do I need to be there while you detail my car?
No. Most customers leave the keys or leave the car unlocked and get on with their day. We only need safe access to the vehicle at the time you booked. You get a confirmation with the arrival window, and we let you know when the job is done.
How far in advance should I book?
Same-week appointments are usually available for standard details and the specials. Ceramic coating and paint correction are booked about a week out, because the prep on those takes longer and we schedule the time properly rather than rushing it.
What areas do you cover?
The Houston metro. That includes The Woodlands, Spring, Katy, Houston Heights, Shady Acres, South Houston, Humble, The Highlands, East Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland, Tomball, Baytown and League City. If you are not sure you are in range, call and ask.
Pricing
How much does mobile detailing cost?
A Basic detail starts at $149 for a sedan or coupe, $179 for an SUV or truck, and $210 for a large van or three-row. Premium starts at $299, $339 and $379. There is also a $149 Interior Special and a $199 interior and exterior special at one flat price.
Does it cost more if I am further away?
No. Pricing goes by vehicle size, not by distance. The same detail costs the same anywhere inside our service area, whether that is the Heights or The Woodlands. We confirm the price before we start work, never after.
What payment do you take?
Cash, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, and invoice. Payment is due when the job is finished, not when you book. There is no deposit and nothing to pay up front.
Services
What is the difference between the Basic and Premium packages?
Basic is a thorough clean inside and out: exterior hand wash, tire shine, all glass, interior vacuum and a wipe-down. Premium adds a full interior deep clean instead of a vacuum and wipe, an exterior hand wax, and a weather-proof sealant finish. Basic runs one to two hours, Premium three to five.
Do you do ceramic coating?
Yes, booked about a week out. A ceramic coating is a long-term protective layer over the paint that makes the finish easier to keep clean. The lead time is so the paint can be properly prepped first, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.
Do I need paint correction or just a wax?
A wax adds gloss on top of whatever is underneath it, so it hides swirls for a few weeks and then they come back. Paint correction removes them from the clear coat instead. If the car looks fine in the shade and bad in direct sunlight, waxing it again will not fix that.
Do you detail RVs, boats or motorcycles?
Those are handled as a conversation rather than a standard booking, because they need different equipment and a different time estimate. Call and tell us what you have and we will let you know what we can do and when.
On the day
How long does a detail take?
About two hours for a Basic detail on a normal car. Premium runs three to five hours because of the interior deep clean and the wax. Heavily soiled interiors and pet hair take longer, and we tell you that when we see the car rather than afterwards.
What does the car look like when you are finished?
Carpets and mats vacuumed, hard surfaces wiped down, glass clear, and the exterior washed and dressed depending on the package. Every job finishes with a fresh floor mat and a plastic steering wheel cover left in place, so it feels clean when you open the door.
What if the weather is bad?
We reschedule. We will not detail a car in conditions that mean the work will not hold, and we contact you as early as we can rather than turning up and starting anyway. Rescheduling costs you nothing.
Still have a question?
Call and ask. We answer the phone, and we would rather tell you now than surprise you on the day.
